The Energy Conservatory®, manufacturer of the Minneapolis Duct Blaster®, has updated the release date of their newest gauge, the DG-1000. They will now have them to view at February trade shows. With the release of Retrotec's DM32 Digital Gauge months ago, TEC's response has been long anticipated. I offered up my thoughts, and lack of enthusiasm toward their interface, here almost 3 months ago. It doesn't look like I was alone in my assessment. The most recent update states,
"Programming of the gauge continues with an eye to the user interface, home screen, global settings, connectivity of the various ports, update capabilities and overall measurement performance."
I think this is the right choice for them, it's always hard to push back release dates but coming out with something, that not's quite what it could be, is worse. I'm looking forward to hearing the reviews when they come out, but with a reported 10 more weeks for mold manufacturing alone, I'll have to keep waiting. . .
Retrotec's DM32, and its familiar touchscreen interface, is available now. Click the picture above to learn more.
