Vent Cap Systems™ provides professional-grade duct testers and accessories for HVAC contractors, energy auditors, and home-performance specialists. Whether you’re testing residential or commercial systems, our lineup of duct leakage testing tools delivers accuracy, durability, and unmatched efficiency.
Our duct testers are designed for years of field use. Each system—whether from The Energy Conservatory or Retrotec—is precision-built and calibrated to deliver consistent readings under pressure. No shortcuts, no cheap imports—just equipment you can trust to perform job after job.
Lightweight fans, digital gauges, and color-coded tubing make setup fast and error-free. Pair your duct tester with our Vent Cap Systems™ and Duct Leakage Testing Guide to achieve airtight seals and repeatable results every time.
Reusable accessories and simplified calibration routines mean less downtime and fewer consumables. Combined with Pole RAT™ and Duct Ninja™, you’ll finish tests faster and eliminate tape waste completely.
All duct testers we carry—like the Minneapolis Duct Blaster™ and Retrotec DucTester—meet or exceed industry standards (RESNET 380, BPI-1200, ASTM E1554). Paired with digital gauges such as the DG-1000 or DM32X, they provide precision airflow data at 25 Pa and beyond.
Reusable Vent Caps and return-air sealing systems reduce plastic waste and eliminate single-use tapes. Sustainable testing isn’t just good practice—it’s better business.
Lightweight duct testers with ergonomic handles and quick-connect fittings reduce fatigue and simplify setup. Combined with the Pole RAT™, you can complete tests from the ground—no ladders required.
We offer free ground shipping on qualifying orders and combo discounts when you bundle duct testers with Blower Doors and Vent Cap Kits.
A duct tester pressurizes or depressurizes a sealed duct system using a calibrated fan and digital gauge. By measuring airflow at a target pressure (typically 25 Pa), you can determine total leakage as a percentage of system volume. Combined with blower door data, it gives a complete picture of building performance.
Each kit includes a calibrated fan, digital gauge, tubing, power cord, and carrying case. Optional accessories include pressure adapters, return-air seals, and flow plates.
Residential testers often prefer the Retrotec 340x or Minneapolis Duct Blaster™. For commercial or multifamily systems, the 345x or larger fans offer higher flow rates.
Calibration is recommended annually to maintain accuracy. We offer calibration support through both The Energy Conservatory and Retrotec.
